Most 2020s Puma petrol automatics use Ford's 1.0-litre EcoBoost family, commonly paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and on some trims a 48V mild-hybrid system — that improves stop/start economy but is not a plug-in. The DCT is generally efficient but can show low-speed jerkiness if software or warm-up routines aren't up to date; as this is essentially new check for latest software and the balance of the manufacturer's warranty.
