Spanner can help turn your car details into an advert.
Could suit you if…
- Your usual group fits within 5 seats, including the driver. Check passenger space and any child-seat fit in person.
- You have convenient, regular charging at home, work or nearby: an electric car could fit your day-to-day routine.
- You want practical access for everyday shopping and bags: the hatchback opening may suit your routine. Check actual boot space.
- You would prefer less gear changing in traffic: the recorded automatic transmission may suit. Try how this exact gearbox behaves on a test drive.
Think twice if…
- You need to carry more than 5 people together: the advert records 5 seats, including the driver.
- You often travel far with little time to stop: check the battery's condition, realistic winter range and charging speed for this exact version.
- You are buying your first car or have a tight insurance budget: Spanner flags a higher insurance band. Get your own quote before paying a deposit.
This is general guidance about this type of car and your needs — not an inspection or approval of this individual car.
The 2023 EV6 is built on Kia’s E-GMP platform and will be either a single-motor RWD or dual-motor AWD depending on trim; battery sizes are typically the 58 kWh or 77 kWh packs and the car uses a CCS2 charging inlet with 800V architecture on higher-capacity packs for very fast DC charging. Kia’s long factory warranty (usually 7 years) covers many buyers, but check exactly what remains on the battery warranty and whether the car has received any battery/thermal-management software updates.
- Ask the dealer for a battery state-of-health report or check real-world range vs advertised (compare 10–90% or an 80% charge test).
- Inspect the CCS charging inlet and cables for damage and test both AC home charging and a DC rapid charge session if possible.
- Confirm whether the car is single- or dual-motor and check for any AWD-specific issues (odd noises under acceleration, warning lights).
- Check 12V battery condition and that all software/firmware recalls or updates have been applied (EVs rely on software for thermal management).
- Look for unusual tyre wear (extra weight and torque can wear tyres) and test regenerative braking behaviour across drive modes.
