Spanner can help turn your car details into an advert.
Could suit you if…
- Your usual group fits within 5 seats, including the driver. Check passenger space and any child-seat fit in person.
- Many journeys are local or relatively short: petrol can fit that use without choosing diesel just for occasional long trips.
- You want practical access for everyday shopping and bags: the hatchback opening may suit your routine. Check actual boot space.
- You would prefer less gear changing in traffic: the recorded automatic transmission may suit. Try how this exact gearbox behaves on a test drive.
Think twice if…
- You need to carry more than 5 people together: the advert records 5 seats, including the driver.
- You need certainty about this particular car: type-level advice cannot confirm its condition. Ask for service records, an insurance quote and an independent inspection.
This is general guidance about this type of car and your needs — not an inspection or approval of this individual car.
Most 2024 Arkana petrol automatics use the 1.3-litre TCe petrol engine paired to Renault's 7‑speed EDC dual‑clutch gearbox; it's smooth but less economical than the E‑TECH hybrid. Check whether the car still has remaining manufacturer warranty (2024 cars commonly retain cover) and be aware the coupe‑style roofline reduces rear headroom compared with a conventional SUV.
- EDC dual‑clutch gearbox: confirm smooth, consistent gear changes, no hesitation or shudder and ask about any gearbox software updates or service history for the transmission.
- Start‑stop / 12V battery health: verify reliable cold starts and stop‑start operation, as weakened batteries show early on petrol automatics.
- Rear seat headroom and ISOFIX access: fit a child seat to check real-world space and ease of anchoring under the Arkana's sloping roofline.
- Tyre wear and brake condition: inspect for uneven tyre wear or glazing and test brakes for firm, even feel after urban/mixed use.
