As a modern diesel it uses a DPF and AdBlue dosing — these work well on long runs but can block or show faults if the car has been used mainly for short urban trips. The cabin and boot are large and comfortable, and higher-spec cars may have optional 4x4, but diesel demand is softer now so factor that into resale expectations.

• DSG behaviour under load and service history — check for smooth shifts, no hesitation or jerking and that DSG oil/filter service has been performed (typical interval ~60k km).
• DPF/EGR condition — ask about forced-regeneration events and watch for excessive soot on the tailpipe or warning lights after short trip usage.
• AdBlue system — confirm the filler cap, sensor warnings and dosing operation; repeated low-AdBlue messages can indicate leaks or sensor faults.
• Turbo and chargepipes — on a test drive listen for whistling/slow spool, and inspect intercooler pipes for oil residues that suggest boost leaks.
• Rear suspension and tyres — check for uneven tyre wear or a slightly sagging rear, which can indicate towing history or past overload.
