Toyota’s 2018–2023 Camry (XV70) is a large saloon that in Europe is commonly sold as a petrol‑hybrid; a pure petrol automatic is less common and will be thirstier than the hybrid. The automatic is a CVT-style transmission on most Camrys — it’s smooth but you should confirm proper behaviour and service history for the transmission fluid. Cabin space and rear legroom are strong points, with a conservative, durable mechanical layout.
- Confirm it is truly a petrol-only car (look for hybrid badging, an EV-mode or power-split displays, and absence of a hybrid battery under the boot) — petrol Camrys are rarer in Ireland.
