This is the fourth-generation Prius (2016–2022) using Toyota’s petrol-hybrid system with a CVT; it is not a plug-in so there’s no charging port. Many 2019 cars use a NiMH hybrid battery which usually lasts 8–12 years but check the battery health report; inverter/cooling fan issues are the most common hybrid-related faults. The hatch layout is practical but the sloping rear reduces usable boot height compared with an estate.
